V.A. - Hannover Fun Fun Fun LP

first release on NO FUN RECORDS from 1980! live recordings by HANS A PLAST, DAILY TERROR, ROSA, CRETINS, DER MODERNE MANN, PHOSPHOR, ROTZKOTZ, SCHWANZKANNS. the sound is quite rough but this record is an essential relic of hannover´s early punk/wave-scene.

Im Gegensatz zu den beiden Hamburg-Samplern präsentiert der NO FUN SAMPLER, nur die sehr große Szene einer Stadt, Hannovers, und hierzu nun Alfred: Städte-Sampler haben ihre Nachteile; am Einerlei manches englischen Albums ist das nicht zu überhören. Last not least ist auch hier von den meisten Gruppen nur ein Stück zu hören - die Schubladen und eine Sternchen-Verteilung gefährlich nah für vorschnelle Urteile. No Fun - der Sound einer City? Schon eher, aber was ist Hannoversch dran?
Die Splizz, eine aus Rotzkotz hervorgegangene und schon wieder aufgelöste Gruppe, wärmt einen zum Anfang richtig auf. Auch wenn's am Schluß ins Traditionelle abrutscht, die Gruppe hatte überdurchschnittliche musikalische Qualitäten. Und Phil ist ein starker Sänger. Folgen die Cretins mit einem makabren Song, der "Dachau Disco". Überraschend gut für eine Kid-Band. Deutsche Texte, wie auch beim Modernen Mann, die für mich auf der Studio-EP etwas konzentrierter-überzeugender wirkten.
Von 39 Clocks dürfte noch mehr zu erwarten sein. Ohne Schlagzeug, dafür mit Rhythmus-Maschine, haben sie - mangels Live-Aufnahme - ein im Studio produziertes Stück beigesteuert. Schade, daß sie englisch singen. Hans-a-plast am Schluß der ersten Seite mit "Amerikaner" so gut wie eh und je. Schade, daß kein neues Stück von ihm aufgenommen wurde. Ganz abwechslungsreich, die gesamte A-Seite. Zum Verwechseln ähnlich dagegen einige Aufnahmen der B-Seite. Peinlich fast das Stück von Rosa ("De Sade war hart"). Ihrem Pogo-Revival entsprechend annähernd auch Schwanz kann's ("Ich und mein Schwanz") und Phosphor ("Wald"). Und selbst noch bei Kaltwetterfront (,,Disco Boy") könnte man meinen, alle diese halb-harten-halb-schnellen Bands hätten den gleichen Sänger.
Daily Terror aus Braunschweig zählen zu den Höhepunkten der Platte. Zwei gegensätzliche Stücke: "Andere Zeiten" mit Anleihen beim Reggae, "Schmutzige Küsse", ein reichlich pogoiger Song mit Gitarrensolo. Rotzkotz ("No Name") merkt man die langjährige Erfahrung an; ihre Professionalität kommt auf dieser einen Aufnahme genausowenig zur Geltung wie die Qualitäten anderer Gruppen.
No Fun - ein Muß? Zumindest eine erste Information für alle Auswärtigen. Die Pogo-Fans werden die Platte mögen, und die anderen werden sich ihre Rosinen herauspicken. Fazit: Etwas weniger Bands und etwas mehr Aufnahmen von jeder Gruppe hätten dem Hannover-Sampler gut getan. Und warum immer noch englisch gesungen wird, ist mir ein Rätsel.

finally hannover´s most shitty band ever THE SCORPIONS gonna split up after their upcoming album and their last tour - that means that we´ll have to wait another 3 years... but it seems to be a perspective, haha.

their statement was something like "uh. we wanna finish before we loose our dignity...blah blah" - WRONG! they are far beyond anything like dignity.

40 years of looking like perverts and playin cheesy hardrock-ballads is enough and the wind of change stopped blowin´ 10 years ago..

BUCKETHEAD - danusha CD EP

another release on EPISTROPHY and the first for BUCKETHEAD. the band existed from ´92 to ´99. this is a very weird piece of funk and jazz inspired 90s indie/college punk with some trumpet in it (which i really like!), but the vocals are most of the time not my cup of piss, except the parts the singer trys to sound like MIKE PATTON. in the music there are some really well played riffs and catchy melodies.

the cover of the cd looks like a childrens version of the cover of "symphonies of sickness" by CARCASS, muhahaha...

i watched their final show at GLOCKSEE last year and that was really good.

formed out of the left-overs of NOT REALLY, KOLLATERAL play a more 80s influenced hardcore/punk sound. nothing new at all, but a good soundtrack to have a drink and hang out in front of a venue with your stereo, haha. unfortunatly the female singer you can hear on this demo left the band... but they are still goin on as a four-piece.

they have a seven inch comin´ up (i guess on D.P.G.). try to get them live somewhere as they´re always a powerfull and raw live-band...

the usual story. bands get friends on tour and do a spilt afterwards. same here. two tracks by THE HOLY MOUNTAIN (us) and 1 by CAVE CANEM. released by ALERTA ANTIFASCISTA and NO IDEA RECORDS in 2008.

one guy from H.M. plays now in hannover´s best pop-hardcore band IMAGES together with the bear from C.C.! :-)

there are two different versions of this record. it think it were 300 on red vinyl and different colored artwork and 1200 on black.

it´s japan again! ETAE from hakodate (home of CRUDE, MUSTANG) play crushing hardcore with some insane guitar-leads and melodies stolen from IRON MAIDEN. they only had two 7"s and three tracks on the HAKODATE CITY HARDCORE compilation, but that´s enough to damage your stereo.

i also heard some rumors about a official discography on CD (i want vinyl!!!).
you can still find these EPs in some distros here & there...

melodic-sunshine-punk from hannovers suburbs. P.F. formed in `93. they split up after a split 7" with NUMBFIRE and this CD in the late-nineties i think. two of them are now in RAUM 101.

the place to be! home of the drunks - home of the punx! placed in hannover´s nordstadt and run by a d.i.y collective is always good for punk/hardcore shows or even if you just wanna meet up with some weird drunks to be the same.

shows are mostly on weekends. there´s a punk bar every 1st & 3rd wednesday. at 1st wednesday of each month there is a "movie-bar". beer is cheap and it´s most a good venue for bands to play.

best shows i´ve seen there were EKKAIA, OBSERVERS, BURIAL, DOOMTOWN, BOMBENALARM, UNION TOWN, CYNESS, CROWSKIN & SKIPLICKERS as far as i can remember!

ROCKERS - is an independent record shop based in LINDEN/HANNOVER carrying tons of 2nd hand vinyl and some CDs. they have a large selection of punk/hardcore & metal and for those who care hip hop/reggae/dancehall and classic rock stuff.

definitly one of the best record shops in and around hannover if you wanna get some out of print or rare records from all over the world. they also have some shirts and a bunch of old zines/gig posters.
it´s always worth a visit - don´t forget to bring some cash, beacuse you´ll find some records anyway and as prices are little higher (as we are speaking about rare stuff) than at your local distro (but much cheaper than shitty ebay). but they are always up for a good deal!!!

SUCKSPEED - the day of light LP + Live Tracks

first album by hannover´s SUCKSPEED on WE BITE RECORDS from 1989. metal/thrash influenced hardcore... ok. let´s call it crossover. they formed in 1987 and split up in 1994/5(?). SUCKSPEED were also a member of the SPIRIT FAMILY.

the guitarist Jochen Gutsch also played in bands like FEEDBACK RECYCLING, PROFESSOR (see the post in my blog) oder BUCKETHEAD. i think he´s still doin´the band HINTERLAND. i saw the two last named bands live at GLOCKSEE last year, but hmmm... while BUCKETHEAD were still sounding like west-coast melody punk HINTERLAND had nothin´ to with HC at all... so i went on drinkin outside the venue, haha.

VEIL - the burden of life LP

metal hardcore from the 90s. first longplayer of hannovers´ VEIL, which were quite popular and well know while they existed. they toured with SNAPCASE, 108 and REFUSED.

i still have problems to get into this because the band later on had a clear krishna influence, what definitly sucks and their style is just to much sportswear for me to carry.

after they split up some of them founded BYRON.

found this one on the tape-attack blog but a friend of mine has a original tape...which doesn´t mean anything at all, because i never got into their weird jazz and funk influenced hardcore. but on this demo they are more straight. essential for hannover punk collectors.

the band features KARL NAGEL who started the SPIRIT FAMILY, a collective of bands to support each other by d.i.y. ethics. later he was the "leader" of the anarchist fun-party A.P.P.D. until he enforced his political suicide! if you want to know more about him try google, haha...

one of the well known bands from hannover in the early 90s. but to be honest they never blew me away with their blast, black flag influenced punk. to me the sound was always to clean and cheesy. this is their first LP from 1991.

i also checked their other releases... not my cup of tea, but i´ll upload them at some time...

they played a lot of shows with FUGAZI. later they formed POWER OF EXPRESSION.

INFAUST / CORRUPTED - split 7" EP

INFAUST was a three piece noise/hardcore band from hannover. i posted their debut album "muster" before, but on this 7" is one of their best songs at all.

the record was released in 2002 by BLIND DATE RECORDS in three different limited versions: normal sleeve/red vinyl (62), special sleeve/black vinyl (111), special sleeve/red vinyl (40). i have a spare copy of the special "chromagan" cover on black vinyf or trade for one on red...

i don´t think i have to write something special about the flip-side...CORRUPTED are CORRUPTED: slow, nasty & dark...

FRANZ WITTICH - punk ist das geilste 7" EP

that´s for true. punk fuckin rules, haha. these notorious punx have been around for some years now and finally they got their own 7 inches of organ-driven hc-punk...

this record was a one time pressing of 300 vinyls on PISSTROPHY , D.P.G. RECORDS & PAIN OF MIND. the record was pressed in a backyard in hamburg and first they fucked 300 vinyls up, because the colour was everything else than pink. some of these were used for the release-show edition with a hand-made cover. i think there were 25 copies.

this beautiful image shows the singer and hannover´s infamous king of punk, who´s the bassist in this bunch of miseducated cretins.

they all have been in bands like AUDIO KOLLAPS, SANITÄR, SUBSISTENCE and RECHARGE before...

allright folks! here we got all the missing stuff by NOVEMBER 13TH that you were searching for... first we got their first and only demo-tape from 2003. some songs were later re-recorded and released on their first lp. i think the demo was limited to 200 copies and was sold out short after it´s release.
after the demo they released a split 7´ with AK47 by OI FREE YOUTH PRODUCTIONS in the same year. i don´t think it´s still available anywhere. hearing that old songs you´ll recognized that this band improved a lot. their early stuff sounds much more like HIS HERO IS GONE or FROM ASHES RISE then their new lp for example, which sounds very unique.
i also added all their songs which were only released on different compilations: G18 (ex-squat in bremen) benefit cd, opre roma benefit cd and the dystopias demise a.l. benefit cd. there´s also a kind of "funny" cover version of PINK FLOYDs´ "the wall"...
so enjoy it!

BURNED OUT started somewhere in the 90s and from time to time they are still playing some shows around germany... short songs and pissed as fuck. one of the best hardcore-bands in hannover. i´ll upload the amazing 7´ next time...

the recordings are demos and live-takes. the band never released a 7´or lp. they later changed their name into PREUSSENS GLORIA. cult or rubbish... it´s your choice...

formed in 1980 by vocalist ziggy xy and drummer e.k.t. this was more a project than a real band. they released quite a lot of stuff and cassettes and vinyl with different guest-musicians. their fist lp "juri gagarin" was released in 1982 by the famous ZICK ZACK label from hamburg, which was run by the SOUNDS journalist alfred hilsberg.

the record is something between ndw and pop. i don´t know. i´m not really into this kind of music, but i like the humor...

BOSKOPS - the LPs

i think boskops are one of the well known bands from hannover. formed in 1982 their aggressive style was unique. the band consisted, in it´s first line-up, of members of BLITZKRIEG! in 1983 FROSTSCHUTZ released their first lp "sol 12".
after a line-up change the legendary MÜLLEIMER label released the 2nd lp "lauschgift" in 1985.
in 1988 the band released the "fedia" lp by themselfes and split up soon after it´s release...
in 1991 SNAKE (a kind of A.M. MUSIC sub-label) released the "non-plus-ultra" CD, which includes the "lauschgift" LP. i don´t know anything else about this release...

RECHARGE - the lps

i posted the split-singles a while ago. now here are all three lps for you.
the band started as a DISCHARGE cover-band with the name CHEMICAL MAZE in 1992.
in 1994 their first lp "silent screams" was released by AC RECORDS. 14 songs were recorded, but only ten are on the record. the other songs were released on several compilations. the lp was released in the us and japan by TRIBAL WAR. i think there will be a limited lp-repress out soon, as well as a cd-rerelease (containing a dvd) with several bonus-tracks called "more silent screams" on EPISTROPHY.

in 1996 EPISTROPHY released the "hamburg 42" lp. the band developed their style and stopped sounding like a total discharge-rip-off. on this record is one of the bands´ hits called "bullenterror". after the release the band toured in japan for two weeks.

in 1997 the third and last lp was released by EPISTROPHY. a tour through germany, austria, switzerland, poland followed. the band split up in 1998.
today some of the mebers play in AUDIO KOLLAPS.

i read somewhere that the band was founded because the members were to stupid to do a zine. so they decided to do a band... the way things are.
the existed from 1981 to 1983 and released one mlp on theMORE FUN label...

i could not find more information about this band and i don´t think that the members were active in other bands later on...

the folder contains the rare demo-tape as well. enjoy it. rough punk...

RECHARGE - the split singles

i guess this is one of the most "famous" punk/hardcore bands from hannover. started as a discharge-cover-band they tried to do their own stuff... and it exactly sounds that way...
the band excisted form 1992 to 1998, but you can still see a lot of punk-kids running around with their "bullenterror" t-shirt. and to be honest... i´ve one by myself...

the split with EXTINCT GOVERNMENT (japan) was released in 1997 on EPISTROPHY after their more or less catastrophic tour in japan.
in 1998 EPISTROPHY released another split 7 inch with EXTERNAL MENACE from livingston/uk. it contains one of the most "coolest" songs done by RECHARGE... "wasserwerferfahrer" lyrically a highlight to sing-along... harhar...

another classic band from hannover. founded in 1977 it was one of the first punkbands in germany and they also had a deal with EMI later on, which ended quite chaotic...
now here´s the complete discography with all their stuff:

the debut lp "much funny" was released on HIPPOCRITE MUSIC in 1979 and this released was followed by the "kein problem" ep on "WELTREKORD" (i guess that´s the name of the label). in 1981 they released their second lp "farbenfroh & lebensfroh" on the hannover based NO FUN label. to me this is their best record.

musically they were more part of the NDW (neue deutsche welle) than of the punk-scene. but who cares?
to me definitly one of the most interesting bands from hannover.

this record was released in 2006 by several diy-label from germany and poland, e.g. end of silence, endless sickness, trujaca fala, tofu guerilla & contrazt rec.!

i don´t know what to write about it... i think it´s a good record!

oh dear. this one´s obscure... a mix of punk, wave and i think there´s something like country in it. sounds a little bit like HANS-A-PLAST or BÄRCHEN & DIE MILCHBUBIES but more dirty...

the record was distributed by FROSTSCHUTZ RECORDS in 1981 and was sold in a printed plastic bag. i think the band released it by themselfs.

another crust / hardcore band started in 2003 in a gloomy rehearsal room. until now they only released this demo cd. every cd was packed in a handmade digi-pack and it is sold out. so get the music...
they quit in 2005, but before they recorded some more stuff, but in don´t know if it will be released someday... i also heard rumors that they gonna play again...
the members now play in bands like CAVE CANEM and some other projects...

BÄRCHEN & DIE MILCHBUBIES - discography

BÄRCHEN & THE MILCHBUBIES started in 1979 and played a mix of punk, wave & pop. here´s now most of their stuff.

in 1980 the released their first single "jung kaputt spart altersheime" on the NO FUN label. i think the title-track is the most known of them and you can still hear young punks screaming the lyrics in front of your local train-station.

in 1981 a full lenght album with the title "und dann macht es bumm" was released by NO FUN (cover at the top).
a single with the track "muskel" followed in 1982. on the b-side was the track "drama".

in 1987 the compilation tape "schatzgräber with a lot of live tracks rocorded at different shows was released by BEATOWN.

i guess the band split up in 1983. one of the members played in RASTA KNAST and LEGAL KRIMINAL later on.

this is a tape compilation released by SPARGEL RECORDS in 1982 and on it there are a lot of unknown bands from hannover. i only knew the IHMESPATZEN and ASPHALTINDIANER before.
other bands on this compilation: DER DEUTSCHE ERDBEERKUCHEN, DIE ANDEREN, KLYSTRON, DIE UNSICHTBARE HAND, EMILIO WINSCHETTI, JUVE, AUF UND AB ART, MONOPHON & META CHONG!
to some of you this might not be real punk. some of the bands sound more like new wave. nevertheless this one is for the collectors and maybe the only chance to listen to these bands...

BLITZKRIEG - discography

yes! another classic band from hannover. they started in 1979 and split up in 1982. they released the "keine zukunft" 7´ in 1981 on the NO NORDSTADT record label. 1000 copies were made and i think this one is really hard to get.

wixer from BLITZKRIEG started KLISCHEE and BOSKOPS later on and he´s still very proud of it...harhar... and still he sits in his rehearsal-room keeping on doin strange music... in his white cowboy-dress...weird...

the folder contains the tracks from the 7´, live tracks (incl. a HANS A PLAST cover of "rock n roll freitag") and some compilation tracks.

another very early punk-band. when they started the band they were kids and that´s how these records sound. very rough and not played well. nevertheless this band is essential, when talking about punk from hannover.

the first 7´ "schokoladenwürger" was released on their own label SPARGEL SCHALLPLATTEN in 1980. in the same year they also released the one-sided 7´ "sandra lee".

the band was founded in 1979 and a member played in DER MODERNE MANN later on...

there is another 7´ on the NO FUN records label... but i have no clue how to get it... so please help!

i could not find any information about this release (not even a scan of the cover) except that it was released on the hannover based label NASTY VINYL in 1994.

this is a live recording and i guess this is one of the last shows the band played...

i´m not a fan of live records, but i think this is kind of rare and some people might be interested...

CRETINS - same EP

CRETINS were one of the first bands i got to know from hannover. i first heard their track "samen im darm" on the "jung kaputt spart altersheime" compilation (nasty vinyl), which is also on this ep and was covert by DIE ÄRZTE, a well known german punkband from berlin, on their "1, 2, 3, 4 bullenschweine ep".

than band was founded in 1979 and was one of the first punkbands in hannover. in 1980 this ep was released by the local NO FUN RECORDS label and rereleased by G-FORCE RECORDS from hannover in 2006 as a 12 inch with several unreleased bonus-live-tracks.

they had some line-up changes during their history and changed their style until they finally split up in 1989. some of the members were active in KALTWETTERFRONT, BLUT & EISEN and ARISTOCATS.

in 2005 they decided to go on with CRETINS, but i have not heard anything of them... have a look at their homepage.

BLUT & EISEN - schrei doch LP

BLUT & EISEN were one of the best early punkbands from hannover or maybe germany. their first lp "schrei doch" was/is quite different to all that other early german punk-stuff, because they had their unique style and they were very fast... not because they just wanted to be fast... they were able to play fast. the sound is really good for a record of that period.

on this record are so many excellent tracks. the lyrics were also different to the usual punk-lyrics... more cryptic.

this lp was released on one of the best and long-time-running labels in germany: WEIRD SYSTEM. it was first released in 1984, but it´s still available as a repress with the original cover artwork and inlay. so if you like it (i bet you will) than get it.

the band was founded in 1982 and split up in 1987. in 2002 they played one show at the 30th anniversary of the UJZ GLOCKSEE in hannover.

i noticed this band when i went on a punk show in wunstorf (near hannover). i´ve had heard of them before and knew that some members where in RECHARGE before, but they did not sound the same. it´s more grindcore or death-metal... nevermind. everybody seems to know this band.

i think they´ve recorded a new record, but it seems ages ago that they played a show... some of them play in other bands: FRANZ WITTICH and MAGNA MORTALIS.

WOLFBRIGADE. i think i don´t have to loose too many words about this hardcore band from sweden. nearly everbodys knows them and loves them...

again this piece of vinyl was released by EPISTROPHY! why not do a epistrophy blog... harhar... because i´ll be send to court...

now something obscure... PROFESSOR... i don´t know much about this band.
this ep was the first release of EPISTROPHY, a hardcore/punk label from hannover. it was released as a single in 1993 and was rereleased as a 3´ CD by TUMULT RECORDS from san francisco/usa in 2004.

the music? something strange. a mix of grindcore and blackmetal... i don´t know anything about the lyrics but it seems that they deal with studying...

one of the members played in FEEDBACK RECYCLING, SHITLIST, BAZOOKA JOE, NUMBFIRE, BURNED OUT and HANS MARTIN SLAYER (slayer cover-band) later on.

KLISCHEE - normalzustand LP

yeah! first "deutschpunk" post. KLISCHEE are a classic in the history of punk in hannover.
i could not find much on the internet about this band. so if someone has some more let me know.

i just know that this lp was released in 1981 on FROSTSCHUTZ. this label released a lot of other hannover stuff like BOSKOPS or the UJZ KORN LIVE compilation. in the folder are more tracks than on the lp. these tracks are from the "das war der wilde westen" single (released on DINGENSKIRCHEN in 1983).

one of the members played in ABSTÜRZENDE BRIEFTAUBEN... a funpunk band from hannover, which were quite popular. later on he joined RASTA KNAST & LEGAL KRIMINAL.

another member got fucked by drugs in 1990...

INFAUST - muster LP

allright! it´s getting serious now... INFAUST are one of the best bands i know from hannover. they have been together for years. two of them played in HYPOCRITICAL SOCIETY before.

this is "just" a three-piece but it sounds like an army! this one is fuckin intense. slow and downtuned hardcore with a "slight" NEUROSIS influence.

"muster" was their first lp, released in 1997 by EPISTROPHY! these nine tracks will blow your stereo to bits. if you hate life and you were always searching for a soundtrack to it then hear this.

they also released a 12´ in 2004 and a split 7´ with CORRUPTED from japan.

ok. the first post with music/bands not from hannover. so why? because i released this record on my former label.

AGGRA MAKABRA were from bremen (yes. they split up) and were quite active in their years of excistence. they first released a split lp with DISPLACED from hannover.

to me it seems that they had that typical bremen sound of that time just like KOBAYASHI or KOYAANISQATSI. bremen always has been a good try for it´s bands, because there are and were so many bands around... for example LOST WORLD...

DO ANDROIDS DREAM ELECTRIC SHEEP are from luxembourg and they are still around recording stuff and playing shows. i really like their mixture of screamo and hardcore (has there ever been a difference?) and some electronics in between... in some parts they remind me of AT THE DRIVE-IN... subjectivity...

unfortunatly i don´t have a scan of the artwork... but in fact a scan would not really show what´s the cover like. if you see this single you gonna buy it anyway... because the cover is unique...

allright. here´s the discography (except the demo tape, which will come later on) of METASYSTOX. i first recognized the band through their demo, which i bought at a mailorder from hannover and which came with a classic copy and paste poster, which still is on the wall in my old room in my mothers house... i think she still doesn´t like it, harhar...

the band started around 1999 and had been together till 2002 or 2003... the members afterwards formed TOXIC AVENGER, SANITÄR and NOVEMBER 13TH. a good idea...

after their demo they released a single and a split single with RED WITH ANGER from göttingen on OI FREE YOUTH PRODUCTIONS and WOLF IM SCHAFSPELZ. all these songs are in the discography plus two live tracks.

another inbreed band from the gloomy rehearsal-rooms in hannover. again the same nerds as in CAVE CANEM & NOVEMBER 13TH... but don´t expect another crust or hardcore band. this is more punkrock like the old-school 80s us-stuff like ADOLECSENTS (gues were the name comes from, harhar) or WIPERS.

mid-tempo punk with two vocalists and slightly distorted guitars and psychodelic leads... hell yeah!

the tape was released on my present label PAIN OF MIND [www.pain-of-mind.com] together with SHOCK & AVE RECORDS from münster. it is limited to 200 copies (very few are left) with different cover-colours... again some shitty limitation for the nerds.

this is the first release of GRUBE & PENDEL. the band consists of (former) members of: INFAUST, HYPOCRITICAL SOCIETY, CAVE CANEM & TRIPSCOPE.

PIAZZA DROPOUT is a three-piece from hannover, hamburg & lübeck playing fast old-school hardcore just like HERESY or SIEGE did... when they were alive. so now they are dead. but who cares when there are bands like PIAZZA DROPOUT.

they recorded a demo tape which was later released as a seven inch by DPG RECORDS (cult label from hannover) and INSTITUT FÜR MENTALE HYGIENE. it was sold out very quick. i participated in the re-release with PAIN OF MIND. 300 copies will have a different cover. for all those record collectors...he.

the sound is rough, but it fits the music perfectly. the lyrics are about all that shit goin on in the world... punk lyrics.

yeah! TOXIC AVENGER are one of my favorit hardcore-bands from tromaville aka hannover. founded by members of DISPLACED & METASYSTOX and some other scumbags to show the tough hardcore scene what real hardcore is about, harhar.

they only released one seven inch and some complilation tracks. i put everything togehter... including a MISFITS coverversion of 138!

unfortunatly i only saw them live once... and that was their final show. but i never saw something like that... fuckin insane...

today the members are playing in NOVEMBER 13TH, TEENAGE ANGST & PIAZZA DROPOUT... hannover is fucking inbreed...

This hardcore three-piece has been around since 2003 and released a lot of stuff. i´ll start with their first lp, but the other stuff will come later on.

their music is often compared to stuff like TRAGEDY or HIS HERO IS GONE, but i never felt like that. of course there are similarities, but there´s some more to discover by listening to their songs.

the lp was released by several diy-labels from around germany, e.g. my former label end.of.silence and oi free youth produstions. 800 copies were pressed with two different cover artworks (for those who care).
these guys have been a little bit lazy with shows in the last months but they already made a tour in the uk, czech and poland.

they are all nerds in music and play(ed) in several other bands: TEENAGE ANGST, MAGNA MORTALIS, KIDS OF THE BLACK HOLE, METASYSTOX, DISPLACED & TOXIC AVENGER.

harhar... first music post and it´s the band i´m in... don´t take it too seriously. i think someone else should write something about CAVE CANEM, but this is my fuckin blog.

this is the demo tape recorded in winter 2005. it was released by EPISTROPHY [www.epistrophy.de] in summer 2006. i think about 500 or 600 were made and some copies should still be available.

the band started in early 2005 and still excists!!! we have some other releases, which i´ll post at another time.

the music is kind of downtuned hardcore... but i´m not about to loose that many words on a describtion. just download that stuff...
